This two-day continuing education program emphasizes the integration of oral health with total health, highlighting collaborations and partnerships between medicine and dentistry that promote and foster integration. Sessions will provide clinical information covering systemic health and oral disease, key issues in children's oral health and adult/older concerns, what each discipline has to offer each other, and address topics including managing the oral health of special needs children and frail older adults,
community-based programs, integrating preventive oral health education into non-dental settings, health literacy, cultural competency and an update on fluorides and water fluoridation. Continuing education credits are available for dental professionals.
