Did you hear about this new course called Oral Health Care Practitioner at Metropolitan State University, Minnesota?
Now what is the big deal about this course:
First of all this is a course for Dental Hygienists and it is kind of an advanced level course in which you can do a lot of Basic Dental Services apart from cleaning . You will be able to remove decay and restore teeth for children and adults, as well as extract primary teeth, while under the supervision of a licensed dentist.
MN has always been at the forefront of everything in Dental, so here are basic details about the course and how to apply. Remember, the deadline is in September for early Spring semester admission. (Subscribe to us in emails , see it on the right and we will inform you about the deadline in advance. This way you will get other important dental news and of course the reminder )
The course details is as follows:
- Applicants must be licensed dental hygienists in Minnesota,
- It is a seven semester course.
- Applicants need to have a 3.0 cumulative GPA based on all college level work.
- This is not an online program as students apply the theories and skills of dental therapy in laboratory and clinical settings.
- Three pre-requisite course or proof of completion of course objectives must be completed prior to program application.
- Since this is an advanced level course, I am presuming that you will be paid more for the services you will render.
- Unfortunately, you will be able to practice in MN only as other Dental State Laws do not allow you to do so.
