I was at this GNYDM (Greater New York Dental Meeting) on Sunday. This GNYDM is one of the largest Dental Congresses in the world. In 2008, GNYDM hosted over 57,000 health care professionals at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center featuring over 1500 Technical Exhibits which demonstrated the newest technology for the dental profession. Get more info about GNYDM here

There were hundreds of exhibitors showing their amazing new products. From Brassller to Surgitel. I was also interested in buying some loupes. (I will talk about them later ) and meeting some important exhibitors like Surgitel and PriceDoc.

There was a whole German Platform and they had companies from Adentatac to Scheutz.

Overall I was not VERY impressed of GNYDM but it did seem to have a lot of info for the new comers in dentistry. The show was huge at Jacob K Javits Centre, indeed nicely connected by all Public and Private Transport.

I will post a little bit about some people and companies I actually met and would like to mention.

NYU, friends, and Snow

by MedAbroad
What a weekend is without meeting your cool friends. Had a real long n busy lab session on the weekend. Yes on weekend!!
At one time I felt, I won't meet them but finally decided against. I was all excited for 2 reasons. One was meeting and a great party ahead, second was this snow. It was my first snow of NYU.
I am sure I will remember the day. In NY weather is really unpredictable. As its said "carry an Umbrella and/or Coat always in NY. It can get nasty anytime!!"

Luckily I remembered the saying. I ran to the nearest PATH station (which is the 15 minutes walk). And I was keeping my fingers crossed. Why? So that I could catch the next connecting train on time.
Could u ever believe that even in NJ the train comes after 1 complete hour!! That's ridiculous. India is awesome. You can go anywhere you want in a cab or may even ride your amazing bikes. I just love that part.

That day was a Saturday and I wrote this article then!
" I am going to NYUCD. You will wonder why on a weekend?? Well I need to finish my lab work. If you guys don know then I am in D2. It's the second year of NYUCD.
Being in US I have realized the importance of a weekend. NYU has a rigorous schedule. They keep you really busy. I need to finish all the interim restorations due by Tuesday. And an exam on Thursday and Friday. Pretty much I know what this week has in stored for me. Kinda real busy."
